iglidur® tribo-tape V400 overcomes wear problems

To reduce wear on its milling machine, the manufacturer relies on iglidur® tribo-tape made of the material iglidur® V400. With minimal intervention on the machine, this was a decidedly economical solution that has now been running for a year without failure.
In addition to the wear resistance, iglidur® convinces with a temperature resistance up to +200° C and a high media resistance. 
 
Extreme wear resistance compared to standard materials
The film materials were able to prove their high wear resistance in the in-house 2,750 square metre test laboratory. In a wear test against a stainless steel pin, all four tribo-tapes scored up to 10 times better values compared to PTFE glass fabric and PTFE bronze compounds. In addition, the materials display low abrasion and are lubrication-free and maintenance-free.
 
The ease of use (the tape can simply be cut using scissors) and optional self-adhesive tribo-tape back open up almost endless possibilities for the product's use.
