Lead screw nut made of iglidur® W300 - for heavy duty applications up to 5MPa Our lead screw nut made of the high-performance polymer iglidur® W300 enables iglidur® W300 the lead screw nut a high wear resistance at high loads and/or abrasive ambient media. Of all iglidur® materials, iglidur® W300 is the most resistant to these conditions. It should only be noted that for lower loads or very dynamic applications, iglidur® J (all-rounder) is probably a better alternative (we will be happy to help you with the right material selection), as the material tends to vibrate at low loads due to its high strength. Other advantages include:
► Wear-resistant at high loads - high static strength
► For low speeds
► Application range up to +90°C upper long-term application temperature
► Recommended continuous surface pressure in the threads 4.0 - 5.0MPa

All of our lead screw nuts are made from the wear-resistant iglidur® high-performance polymers. There are seven different standard materials available for different purposes: iglidur J - high efficiency at all speeds, iglidur J350 - for temperatures up to +150°C, iglidur A180 - FDA-compliant for the food and pharmaceutical industry, iglidur E7 - for high speeds with low loads, iglidur R - anti-oscillation and anti-vibration, iglidur J200 - the best counter partner for aluminium and iglidur W300 - for heavy-duty applications.
This gives you the following advantages:
► 100% lubrication-free and maintenance-free
► Durable and robust in adverse environments
► Chemical resistant and mould-free
► Quiet and vibration-free travel
► PTFE-free
► FDA compliance through A180
► Withstanding high loads
► Long-term use in temperature ranges from -20°C to +150°C
The base material is additionally reinforced with technical fibres or fillers. The solid lubricants are microscopic particles, embedded in millions of tiny chambers of the material. This is adequate to sufficiently lubricate the immediate surrounding area and to reduce the friction of the system. These additives strengthen our lead screw nuts decisively for wear resistance.
In addition to a large selection of standard materials for lead screw technology, igus also offers a wide range of variants in the lead screw nut geometry itself:
